our mission
Even though the art and science of yoga is ancient, its teachings and physical practice have been fully embraced— and assimilated into—modern life. FIT YOGA covers the modern world of yoga in an easy-to-read, informative, non-preachy manner, while exploring and revealing its ancient roots. No matter what your personality, level of fitness or flexibility, there is a yoga class that suits your soul. FIT YOGA interviews the best instructors and gurus, visits the most incredible studios, and features the latest yoga products, enabling you to make the most beneficial decision for your specific needs.
Other alternative exercise modalities, such as Pilates, Yogilates, Tai Chi and Zen archery are also covered, as well as meditation, philosophy, alternative medicine, and healthful food choices.
If you've never taken a yoga class, eaten a veggie burger or contemplated the universe, reading FIT YOGA allows you to tune into the less stressful, more healthful yoga environment and perhaps make a connection to what could be a life-changing experience.

praise from our readers
"I wanted to tell you that your magazine has changed my life!!! While I hava the yoga vidoes, books, mats, bricks, etc... I was struggling for motivation to begin to practice yoga. I bought your March 2006 magazine and WOW.... I read every word on every page. I did begin to practice yoga within my home thanks to your well written and beautifully organized magazine. THANKS TO YOU AND YOUR STAFF... You are touching and changing lives in a very positive way."
"FIT YOGA is very holistic in terms of viewing yoga as a practice from hatha, to personal care, to home environment to communing with the elements. Great reading!"
"Marvelous magazine! The articles are presented in a concise and easily understandable manner. It provides excellent discussion material for my Yoga Instructor and I."
"I love the magazine and enjoy the variety of articles. I wish it came out more often."
"I just purchased my first copy of Fit Yoga… and I think the magazine is great. I loved all the different series of poses it illustrated. I live in po-dunk-nowhere Georgia and the closest yoga studio is a fifty minute drive south into Florida. Sadly, I just can't make it to a class so it was nice to see so many poses that I might have neglected practicing. It has given my routine a little shot in the arm. The Yogilates is fun and refreshing, and I can't wait to attack my fiancé and subject him to partnered yoga! "
"This is the first issue I have looked at and I absolutely love it! I love the diversity (food, clothes, postures, recipes etc.) I love this month's article on the chakras. It's really helped me get more excited about starting yoga. I will definitely subscribe! It's like a little treasure box! Thank you!"
"I love FIT YOGA! I am a certified yoga instructor, and I find so many helpful articles. The information is down to earth, easy to understand, written for "real" people. Thanks for a great magazine. I read them over and over again. I wish it came out monthly!"
"I lead a yoga class at my local gym. I find your magazine to be the most useful, informative and motivating one on the newsstand. I just wish they were monthly."
"I am not really very intense about my yoga practice. I am a dancer and I practice yoga in order to keep my muscles long and lean. I like your magazine because it is informative for me and helps me to lead a healthful lifestyle while learning more about yoga. I am especially interested in your article about Yogilates and I hope that you continue to include more information about this new form."
"Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy your magazine. As a newbie to yoga I find your magazine very helpful, it is not too advanced, but gives you a little challenge. Keep up the good work. I just wish there were more issues in a year."
"I saw the first copy of your magazine when I was in Hawaii this past Feb. I loved it from the first turn of the page! I had just visited Yoga Oasis on the Big Island of Hawaii, and your magazine helped me stay connected to the things I had just learned. Thank you for such a wonderful publication and I can hardly wait to see more."
"This is my favorite yoga magazine and I look forward to each issue. Don't change the layout, style, or cover of your magazine; everything's perfect as it is. This is a great yoga magazine!"
